Scares That Care VII (2021) Author Programming Update
This is an update specifically for attending celebrity authors, vendor room authors, and their fans attending the physical Scares That Care VII charity fundraising convention in Williamsburg, VA from July 30th thru August 1st 2001. This update supplants the first announcement from April 5.
As stated by our chairman emeritus Joe Ripple, Scares That Care will continue to follow all Federal, State and Local guidance. As that stands today, we are requesting that all attendees wear a mask in consideration of their fellow attendees.
In addition to the costume contest and the silent auction, the Board of Directors and our volunteers have also safely devised a way to bring back some of the other programming, as well. This includes a slate of author programming (by popular request).
As things currently stand today, just like in the other areas of the convention, we are requesting that all attendees wear a mask in consideration of their fellow attendees when they are in the panel room where author events will be held. No decision has been made on which room that will be. That determination will be made in accordance with Federal, State and Local guidance closer to the convention. Author programming may take place in the room it normally occurs in, or it may take place in a different room. There may be a capacity limit on the room. Again, this is a fluid situation, and with your safety and the safety of our other attendees in mind, we will decide accordingly.
The room may be disinfected with Lysol disinfectant spray in between each program event, if that falls under Federal, State and Local guidance. Those sensitive to disinfectant spray should consider this before entering.
Here is a rough draft of the author programming schedule. It may be the final draft. It may not.
